ALLERGEN GROUPS
According to Directive 2000/13/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL OF 20 March 2000, food allergens can be classified into the following groups:
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, einkorn or their hybrids) and derivative products;
- Crustaceans and derivative products;
- Eggs and derivative products;
- Fish and derivative products;
- Peanuts and derivative products;
- Soybeans and derivative products;
- Milk and derivative products (including lactose);
- Nuts, i.e. almonds (Amydalus communis L.), hazelnuts (Corylus avealla), walnuts (Iuglas regia), cashews (Anacardium occidentale), pecans (Caraya illinoiesis (Wangenh) K. Koch), Brazil nuts (Bertholletia excelsa), pistachios (Pistacia vera), Macadamia nuts and Queensland nuts (Macadamia ternifolia) and derivative products;
- Celery and derivative products;
- Mustard and derivative products;
- Sesame seeds and derivative products;
- Sulfur dioxide and sulphites in concentrations exceeding 10 mg/kg or 10 mg/litre;
- Lupine and derivative products;
- Molluscs and derivative products.
